Anthurium Besseae aff. is a beautiful Anthurium, but there are many different forms for sale. Some are flat without a lot of texture, some are very 'pillowy'. Some are more green, while some are almost black. This clone has the most desirable traits from both, its hardened leaves are almost black and the leaf surface is very pillowy giving a threedimensional look to the plant, making this a fan-favorite of our collection of mother plants. Emerging leaves (bottom right on first photo) have a lovely red tinge under plenty of light.
The Besseae aff "Black Pillow" was pollinated with its own pollen from a previous flower so the seedlings should all look very close to the mother plant shown in the photos. Around 9 months after pollination the seeds were ready and the plants are now a few months old.
